Upgrade to a truly higher performing coil! The Pertronix Flame-Thrower coil is a nice performance replacement for the original coil in most 4-cylinder Alfas, and features a discreet black finish with a new vintage-look logo.
Specifically designed to work with electronic ignition systems, such as our ID405, ID421, and ID423, and electronic ignition conversion kits ID447 and ID449. However, the hotter, more consistent spark can benefit points-type ignition systems as well.
40,000 volt rating with 3.0 Ohms primary resistance.
Fits all cars 1956-79, including cars that have been converted to electronic ignition. Replaces either Bosch or Marelli coils.
Note: Coil must be mounted vertically. Removal of ballast resistor is recommended.
Not for use with Marelli "Plex" electronic ignition system, or Spiders 1982-94 with Bosch electronic fuel injection.
