Veloce or Normale

- continued from Page 2 -

Emergency Brake Cable
The emergency brake cable at the rear of the chassis on Sprint Veloces is in the shape of a “Y”; on Sprint Normales the cable is in the shape of a “T”. The larger Sprint Veloce fuel tank wraps around the differential, which prevents mounting the T-shaped emergency brake cable.

Tachometer and Speedometer
A Veloce tachometer reads from 2000 rpm to 8000 rpm while a Normale reads frm 1000 rpm to 7000 rpm. The Veloce speedometer reads to 140 mph, a Normale to 120 mph.

Dash Knobs
Normales have four knobs on the dashboard: choke, heater fan, fast idle, and headlights. The DC03 carbs on the 750 Veloces do not have chokes, so a correct 750 Veloce will have only three knobs on the dashboard. A chrome plug is installed in place of the choke knob and cable. 1300 and 1600 101 Veloces have DCOE 2 carbs with chokes, so these Veloces use four knobs as on the Normales. Giulietta knobs are gold, Giulia knobs, silver.

Door Frame Trim Plates
On 750 Sprint Veloces the trim plate on the chassis door frame reads “sprintveloce”, one word in a cursive style without upper case letters. On 750 Sprint Normales the plate reads “Carozzeria Bertone” with the Bertone logo separating the two words.
