FAQs: Do your recommend installing larger engines into older Alfas?

The first question to ask yourself is how are you going to use the car. If your goal is absolute originality or you want to show the car, then don’t change anything. For 750 and 101 Veloce, Sprint Speciale, and other special bodied models, the marketplace demands originality. These cars should be left stock.

Otherwise, there is nothing quite like cubic centimeters. A larger engine will ease maintenance while greatly improving drivability and usability. Plus the extra power is just plain fun! We offer a full line of custom parts necessary, such as throw-out bearing adaptors, exhaust headers, CNC milled aluminum engine mounts, and electronic distributors to properly install a 1600, 1750, or 2000 engine into a 750, 101, or 105 chassis Alfa. All are made to eliminate any need to make changes to the body of the car. If you don’t want the hassle of finding a donor engine, give us a call. We usually have a selection of core engines so you can build one how you choose.
